Services
Palliative care for patients with a terminal illness (oncological or non-oncological).

General Services
The Palliative Care Home will offer 8 private and adapted rooms, providing comprehensive palliative care, including 24/7 nursing and medical care, and allowing for palliative sedation and medical assistance in dying, according to the patient’s wishes. These rooms may also be used on a temporary basis for patients receiving palliative care at home, to provide respite for caregivers or for treatment adjustment by our medical team.
Each room will be equipped with a lift, allowing for the safe transfer of a patient when needed. An additional bed will also always be available in the room to accommodate a family member or loved one who wishes to accompany the patient receiving palliative care. Patients will have access to an environment and facilities that promote contact with nature.
A dining room and a kitchen will offer quality meal service and healthy snacks for patients and their loved ones, as well as for staff. Prepared meals will be available for interested caregivers.
A calming common room will allow for gatherings and will offer a place of reflection for patients and their families.
Day Center
The Day Center will provide support to patients and their caregivers. This support will be offered in the form of activities or therapeutic care. These will include psychosocial and spiritual support, conferences and workshops, and support groups. Individual care services will be offered, such as foot care, massage therapy, and reflexology. Music therapy, animal-assisted therapy, art therapy, guided meditation, and yoga will also be available. These care services will be offered on-site by professionals from our region and will be available to patients and their loved ones.
Outpatient Clinic
The Outpatient Clinic will offer access to local and free medical care and resources for ambulatory patients receiving palliative care and registered with the Day Center. Medical consultations and follow-ups, nursing care (wound care and symptom monitoring), nutrition, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, respiratory therapy, and social work services will also be part of the services offered to this clientele. These services will be provided in continuity and collaboration with the CLSC’s home palliative care team.
